A place to hang notes about our participation in Modern Western Square Dancing. We dance mostly with gay clubs, who use the CALLERLAB call definitions, but have more relaxed dress codes and tend to be a lot higher energy with more flourishes. Our experience is that the dancers who've learned in IAGSDC clubs tend tend to have a lot lighter holds and be a lot less physical in their interactions with other dancers.
We started dancing in June of 2012, got through the "Plus" list in the spring of 2013, and are planning on starting "Advanced" in the fall of 2013.
